Emotions stir on a day like today, but it is important to take a moment to honor the lives lost in times of tragedy. Counting our blessings and thanking those in the line of service is one way we can move forward. Monday night’s board meeting did just that by recognizing our local law enforcement and future leaders of our community.
“I get the opportunity to work with these fine gentlemen each and every day and I can tell you unequivocally that I am truly grateful for each and every one of them. I see the interactions that you have with our staff and students and we cannot do this job without you. I cannot imagine doing this job without your support. You all do a thankless job. You make Huntington County a safer place to be and a better place to be.” says Trout.
Assistant Police Chief Chris McCutcheon, Police Chief Cory Boxell, Sheriff Chris Newton and Sheriff Deputy Chad Hammel were recognized for their efforts in keeping our community safe and were presented with a certificate representing the Core Values of High Expectations, High Achievement, Accountability as a token of appreciation.
“One of our programs that we are most proud of in our district is our JROTC Program at Huntington North. On this day in American History, is what an outstanding group to honor for future leader. Gary and Bobby are shaping our future leads and I am extremely proud they are members of our high school.” says Brimbury.
