The Huntington County Community School Corporation Board of Trustees has officially begun the search for the district’s next superintendent.
The board is working in partnership with the Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA) and the corporation’s legal counsel to conduct the search process. ISBA provides superintendent search services, candidate screening, and governance support to school boards across Indiana.
The superintendent application window will open after January 1, 2026. Applications will be accepted throughout the month of January using the ISBA online application portal.
Once the application period closes, the board will begin interviews. The board’s current timeline targets spring break as the point at which a candidate may be selected.
Selecting a superintendent is one of the most important responsibilities of the Board of Trustees. Community input is an important part of that process. A public survey will be released in January to gather feedback and priorities from community members.
The board will continue to share updates as the search moves forward. Information will be provided at public board meetings and through updates on the corporation website and social media channels.
