Crestview Middle School will be the site of an Indiana Department of Health mobile COVID-19 clinic from noon to 8 p.m. daily from Monday, Dec. 27, through Wednesday, Dec. 29.

Free rapid and PCR tests, vaccinations and boosters will be available in the Crestview gymnasium, located at 1151 W 500 N in Huntington. The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be offered.

Walk-ins will be accepted. Individuals can register in advance if they choose by calling 211 or visiting ourshot.in.gov.

Everyone age 5 and older is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination. Children and teens under 18 need Pfizer.

CDC guidance recommends boosters for fully vaccinated people 16 and older. Those who received Moderna or Pfizer are eligible six months after their second dose. Johnson & Johnson recipients can get a booster two months after their single dose.

Mixing and matching vaccine brands has received CDC approval. For example, a person who received a single Johnson & Johnson dose can now opt for Moderna or Pfizer.

Another mobile clinic also is planned at the Huntington City Building, 300 Cherry St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15. Walk-ins will be taken along with the option to register in advance.
