The public is invited to join us in celebration of Roanoke Elementary School's groundbreaking on October 29 at 9:30 a.m. School officials and members of the community will meet in the West parking lot to witness this milestone for the school system and the town of Roanoke.
The event will include a handful of speakers, including HCCSC Superintendent, Mr. Randy Harris; Roanoke Elementary School Principal, Mr. Seth Parker; and the project's architect, Mr. Dana Wannamacher. There will be seating and refreshments for event guests.
Fetters Construction, Inc. out of Auburn, Indiana will be leading the project. The new 87,700-square-foot building will be constructed to the west of the existing building allowing school to continue to function while construction occurs. Work will continue through the winter and should wrap up in time for the 2019-2020 school year.
We are excited to get this project underway and share with you the vision for the new school. Many modern features to benefit students have been incorporated into the architectural design. Bring your questions and learn what's in store. We look forward to seeing all of you there on the 29th!
