We're all extremely saddened by the loss of Lincoln Elementary's beloved 2nd grade teacher Emily Teusch who passed away on September 26. This is especially heartbreaking after the passing of
Joe Haft last week.
Emily taught in Huntington County Community Schools for 15 years and made a significant impact on countless lives. She received the HCCSC Elementary Teacher of the Year Award in 2017.
Emily is survived by her husband, Pat, and their three children as well as many family members and friends. She was loved by literally everyone — students, staff, parents — and this loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire community.
HCCSC counselors are ready and standing by to help with the needs of students, parents, and school personnel as we grieve. At Lincoln Elementary, we have counseling available for any student who may need or want help or any type of assistance surrounding this loss. We encourage parents and staff to also feel free to use our resources.
