A familiar face…in a new place. Terry Stoffel has joined the HCCSC as a part-time School Resource Officer. Officer Stoffel brings 30 years of experience to this position. He spent more than 20 years at the Huntington Police Department, serving as Chief of Police for 8 of those years. He most recently served as the Huntington County Sheriff for the past 8 years.
In today’s society, school safety is at the forefront of everyone’s minds. At HCCSC, the safety of our students and staff is always our number one priority. School Resource Officers add another layer of protection. Establishing relationships with students is a key component in maintaining a safe school environment, and we are fortunate to have SROs who excel in creating those relationships and building trust with students. “Building those bridges are huge,” commented Officer Stoffel.
In addition to the School Resource position, Officer Stoffel also teaches Criminal Justice at The Learning Center each afternoon. “I am honored to take all my experience and apply it here at HCCSC,” stated Stoffel.
